From the Priest Mountain to the James River, Virginia was once home to animals that have since disappeared. Join Blue Ridge Master Naturalist Susan McSwain to discover the wildlife we’ve lost and what happened to it. Susan is an award-winning nature educator and conservation advocate. Her honors include the 2014 Virginia Master Naturalist Volunteer of the Year and the 2025 Sierra Club Piedmont Chapter Earth Flag Award.
