Step back in time, celebrate a milestone in our nation’s history, and enjoy a wonderful day out as we celebrate America’s 250 anniversary at one of our nation’s most iconic landmarks—Monticello, the home of Founding Father President Thomas Jefferson. We will take a leisurely stroll along Saunders- Monticello trail and through the beautifully landscaped, historic grounds of Jefferson’s renowned estate. Followed by lunch at the beloved and historic Michie Tavern, a local favorite steeped in colonial charm. This 6.2-mile walk is rated easy to moderate. Bring water, a snack and money for lunch. Payment includes entrance fee to estate and is due at time of registration.
