SUMMARY:The Skies have it! Watercolor Skyscapes Class- April 25\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:Prerequisite: Part I: Intro to Watercolor OR prior watercolor experience please. This class is NOT for anyone who is brand new to watercolor. We will concentrate on the beautiful and varied skyscapes we see at Wintergreen. Initial emphasis will focus on beautiful blue skies and white puffy clouds. Watercolor artist Carolyn Velletri and guest watercolorist Mary Kent will demonstrate two diverse ways to paint this extensive view of the sky to participants aged twelve and over. Using your own simple references or those provided\, you will create a small painting using learned methods. Additionally\, we will explore several other skyscapes using a variegated wash and wet in wet technique. Dramatic skies are a hallmark of watercolor landscapes\, and we all can benefit from practicing skyscapes! Participate\, enjoy\, and observe the skies. Please contact the artist\, carolyn.velletri@verizon.net no later than one week prior to the workshop for a complete supply list. Only limited supplies will be provided for this workshop. Bring your own lunch. Payment is due at time of registration. $30/Member\, $40/Non-Member. \n
